Manager, Business Development & Marketing
Mr. Eddy Erwan Zakaria brings nearly two decades of experience in financial services, corporate strategy, and ecosystem development. Currently the Manager of Business Development and Marketing at Go Capital Growth, he focuses on fostering strategic partnerships and business acumen.
His previous experience includes a tenure at UM Holdings as Vice President of Business and Ecosystem Development, where he facilitated international academic collaborations in Indonesia, Brunei and Timor Leste. He also contributed to the operational setup and founded of Koperasi Niaga Kumpulan SME Bank Berhad (SMECOOP), serving as a Board Member and Chairman of the Sponsorship Committee to ensure regulatory alignment and organizational stability.
During his eighteen years at SME Bank Malaysia, Mr. Eddy managed various portfolios, notably facilitating the SME i-Cash program and vendor ecosystem initiatives. He began his career as a Management Trainee at Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, where he developed a foundation in credit evaluation.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration
(Hons) from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak and a
Diploma in Management Technology from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is also a Certified Islamic Development Banker (CiDB), accredited by IBFIM and CEDAR.
